GTL of 12-13 Chiswell Street, Finsbury (London, EC1) was a tool supplier that operated between the 1920s and 30's.

The tools they had on offer were aimed at the DIY and amateur carpenter market.

This is one of their no 4 smoothing planes.

Made in Sheffield with cast iron body and hardwood tote and knob.

Good clean usable tool.

Will require sharpening/honing before use.
