An early, and scarce carving chisel made by John Green duing the 18th century, in London.

It has a 3/8" wide edge on the back-bent design of an entering chisel (used for staring cuts).

The handle is octagonl shape, made from what could be either Walnut or Mahogany, as it aged over  the years, and been constantly handled by craftsmen, it is difficult to be sure!

Will require sharpening/honing before use.
