Saw - Garlick

An interesting and unusual, special use saw made by Charles Garlick of Sheffield (1864 - 1931).

It carries an etch on the blade that says 'Plug Cutting Saw'.

Double edged, 16" long blade  with teeth cut on both edged, and a centrally fixed Beech handle that is raised horizontally, 2" above the cutting blade. (See photograph).

The design was registered in 1891, no 163254.

It allows for flush cutting, to either right or left hand.

In good clean condition.

Would benefit from resharpening, if to be used.
