An antique 3/4 inch straight Firmer chisel by Thomas SHAW of Sheffield
Old Boxwood handle (shows some old cracks) secured with brass ferrule

12 inch overall length with 6 inch tang with sloping style shoulders

Nice clear mark of 'T SHAW' near the top of the tang
Chisels by this maker are found in the 18th century Benjamin Seaton chest

In condition as recovered from workshop, so could be cleaned and polished if desired ?
